A Swachhta Abhiyan organized by Ws HQR Central Reserve Police Force in association with Afroz shah (Environmental activist) at Dana Pani Beach, Malad, Mumbai on 14/12/2019. Sh Rajkumar, IPS, IGP WS CRPF other officers and personnel participated in Swachhta Abhiyan at Dana Pani Beach. After Swachhta Abhiyan Sh Rajkumar, IPS, IGP WS CRPF had an interaction with media and gave a message to avoid usage of single use plastic and keep our surroundings clean. 300 officers and personnel from WS CRPF, GC CRPF Pune, 102 RAF Bn, 242 Bn and 221 Bn remained present at this event.
Western Sector Central Reserve Police Force organized a Swachhta Abhiyan in association with Western Sector Central Industrial Security Force at Juhu Beach, Mumbai on 07/12/2019. During this event Sh R. S. Rautela, DIGP WS CRPF, Smt Meenakshi Sharma, IPS, IGP WS CISF, Smt Shipra Srivastava Addl IGP CISF, 200 personnel of WS CRPF and 600 personnel of WS CISF along with civilian volunteers participated in a cleanliness drive at Juhu Beach, Mumbai.
Jal Shakti Abhiyan organized by 113 Bn CRPF Dhanora (MH) on 05/12/2019. Officers and personnel of 113 Bn participated in cleanliness drive at surrounding area of a lake at Dhanora (MH).
Swachhta Pakwada observed by various Unit/Instn. Under WS HQR CRPF w.e.f. 01/12/2019 to 15/12/2019. During the Swachhta Pakhwada cleanliness activities/programs organized by Unit/Institutions under WS HQR CRPF. Officers and personnel of Unit/Institutions spread a message of cleanliness and awareness about healthy environment among community by participating in cleanliness drives during Swachhta Pakwada.

GC CRPF Nagpur organized ‘Swachhta Hi Sewa’ campaign on 02 October 2019. In this event all officers and personnel of GC CRPF Nagpur participated in cleanliness drive. A Swachhta Rally also organized to spread awareness about cleanliness among GC Personnel and their families at GC CRPF Nagpur.

Sh. Rajkumar, IPS, IGP, WS while addressing media on this occasion emphasized upon each and every citizen to curb on single use plastic which adversely affect our environment. He also appealed to citizens to be responsible to keep surrounding area clean. CRPF in association with Sh. Afroz Shah has arranged cleanliness drives at Versova beach in the past also. He appreciated Sh Afroz Shah and other volunteers for their dedicated efforts in this regard and assured CRPF participation in future also.

192 Bn CRPF organized A Swachhta Abhiyan on 30 September 2019. Sh Jiau Singh, Commandant, 192 Bn CRPF along with officers and personnel of 192 Bn CRPF participated In this event. During this Swachhta Abhiyan Government Hospital and Police Complex area cleaned by 192 Bn CRPF. A message of cleanliness spread by 192 Bn CRPF through this event.

Sh Rajkumar, IPS, IGP Western Sector, CRPF spearheaded the "Swachhta Hi Sewa” campaign in Ghas Bazar and Naupada slums of Garib Nagar, Banrda East, Mumbai on 01/10/2018. About 350 volunteers of Sector Hqr, Range RAF Mumbai, Range Pune, GC Pune, 102 RAF, D & G/221 Bn, 242 Bn CRPF and BMC officers enthusiastically participated in this Cleanliness Drive. Sector Hqr, its institutions and units observed "Swachhata Pakhawada” from 15/09/2018 to 02/10/2018 by organizing Swachhata campaign in campus area and nearby villages of the GC/ units.

India is the global host of 2018 "World Environment Day” which took place on June 5, 2018. With "Beat Plastic Pollution” as the theme for this year’s edition, the world came together to combat single-use plastic pollution. Series of the events in connection with the "World Environment Day” started with Versova beach cleaning on 27/05/2018. In this event Shri Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, IPS, DG, CRPF, Mrs Manu Bhatnagar (wife of the DG CRPF) officers of WS CRPF and over 450 other officers and men of the CRPF and RAF had participated.
Shri Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, IPS, DG, CRPF very enthusiastically and actively participated in the cleaning up campaign, led from the front to motivate others and to make the occasion happening. Apart from the CRPF, several other Government and Private organizations also took part in this program.
In a function organized at Versova beach on this occasion Shri Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, IPS, DG, CRPF was felicitated for all out support for the cause and contribution towards protection of the environment. Mr Erik Solheim, UN Environment Head, Mr Atul Bagai, UN Environment Head of India, Sh Gajanan Chandrakant Kirtikar (Member of Parliament -Mumbai North West), Dr Bharti Lovekar( MLA, Versova), Mr Afroz Shah, Champion of the earth, United Nations (UNEP), Ms Diya Mirza, UNEP Goodwill Ambassador for India, Sh Sanjay Nirupam (Ex MP) and several other dignitaries were present on the dais on this occasion.
Shri Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, IPS, DG, CRPF while addressing the gathering of over 3,000 volunteers on this occasion asserted that the CRPF already committed to combat Terrorism, Naxalism and Insurgency in various parts of the country. CRPF has now taken up the challenge to protect the environment and to combat pollution especially plastic pollution. Therefore, all of the CRPF campuses have been declared as plastic free zones, in which, no single use plastic being used. Further, DG CRPF has expressed his full support for the cause and future such events.
Shri Rajkumar, IPS, IG Western Sector,CRPF spearheaded the"SWACHHTA HI SEWA” campaign. Western Sector involved 102 RAF along with Shri Afroz Shah, a renowned social worker on 01/10/17 at Versova Beach, Mumbai. About 200 volunteers and celebrities like Actor Randeep Hooda and singer Chang and Norwegian Counsel General also participated for this noble cause.
