Visit the adoption portal https://crpf.gov.in/DBTS to view profiles of available retired Police K9s, including their details and photos.
2. Submit Application
Complete and submit the K9 Adoption Application Form online with all necessary details.
3. Application Review by CRPF
The responsible authorities shall review your application to assess suitability based on the provided information.
4. Final Approval
After the authorities make a final decision you will be informed if you have been selected to adopt.
5. Meet the K9
After final approval, you will be invited to meet the available K9s to assess compatibility.
6. Dog Collection
The adopter is responsible for reaching the dog’s location to collect the K9 in ‘as is where is’ condition. You will receive relevant medical records and instructions during handover.
Note:The adoption agreement will be signed in person at the time of collection of the Dog.
7. Post-Adoption Follow-Up
The person/entity adopting the K9 shall permit CRPF authorities to carry out periodical inspection of the K9s.
A follow-up may be conducted after a few weeks to ensure the dog has adjusted well to its new home.
