Joining Instructions for Courses at College of Information Technology, CRPF, Bengaluru

1. General

The College of Information Technology is a premier training institution of CRPF. The objective is to educate CRPF personnel on Computers and IT to enhance operational and administrative capabilities. CIT is an enabler and facilitator for making the force technically and digitally equipped.

2. Course

All trainees should report at the college one day before the commencement of the courses.

3. Location

CIT is located inside the campus of Group Centre, CRPF, Yelahanka Bangalore-560064. The distance from Bangalore Railway station to Yelahanka CRPF Campus is 22 Kms. Contact details of the college:

4. Transport/Arrival/Reception

The Station bus of GC Bengaluru runs from City Railway Station / Majestic Railway Station to GC BLR in the morning at 0930 Hrs and in the evening at 2130 HRS. Transport will be provided by CIT BLR during odd hours.

5. Accommodation/Messing

Trainees will be accommodated in barracks/PF Huts. Female trainees will be accommodated separately as per availability. Trainees will dine in the Mess provided and must deposit Mess advance as per course duration. They should clear Mess dues before departure and obtain a NO DUES CERTIFICATE from the Officer-in-Charge.

6. Nominal Roll

Submit Nominal roll particulars of trainees at least 15 days prior to the commencement of the course for preparation of consolidated NRP.

7. Medical Fitness

Trainees should be physically fit and must carry a medical certificate issued by a Medical Officer. Ensure only medically fit trainees are detailed for courses.

8. Clothing & Equipment

Trainees should report equipped with:

  • PT Kit (white PT shoe, Khaki pants/socks), khaki uniform & Combat dress, boot black/brown, socks khaki, Mosquito Net, ceremonial dress
  • Kit items for ORs
  • White Bed sheet for SOs
  • Sufficient stationery with writing materials

9. Documents

Candidates should possess the following documents:

  • Movement order / Office order
  • Identity card
  • Individual Medical certificate / health card / Medical history document
  • Ticket for return journey

10. Medical Cover

Necessary medical cover will be provided in the Composite hospital, CRPF Bengaluru located in the Group Centre Campus.

11. Leave

No leave will be granted during the course. Absence exceeding 3 days will lead to withdrawal from the course and return to the unit (RTU). En route leave must be sanctioned before the course and mentioned in the movement order.

12. Pay & Allowances

Pay & allowances of trainees should be remitted to their Bank accounts as this college does not handle Govt account transactions.

13. Family

No trainee is permitted to bring or keep family during the course period.

14. Recreation/Sports Amenities

Trainees are required to participate in games during scheduled times. Facilities for outdoor games, a library, and places of worship are available on campus.

15. Discipline/Withdrawal of Trainees

Trainees must maintain high discipline and adhere to Force rules and station orders. Indiscipline or lack of interest in the course may lead to return from the course. Violations will be handled according to CRPF Act/Rule.

16. Dispersal

Trainees will be dispersed immediately after the course. Due to tight schedules, return journey tickets should be booked in advance, preferably for the last day after 20.00 hrs or the next day. Course results and certificates will be provided immediately after the final test.
